Terms and Conditions for Use of the Digital Park
By booking and using the Digital Park facility, all users agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Violations would result in penalties.
1. Booking Procedure
- All bookings must be made online only via https://www.facility.ui.edu.ng.
- Walk-in or manual bookings are not accepted.
- Venue access is granted one hour before and 30 minutes after the scheduled booking time.
2. Power Supply & Diesel Provision
- The facility is powered by a diesel generator during events.
- Diesel supply is the responsibility of the event organizer.
- The generator consumes approximately 15 liters of diesel per hour.
- Organizers must ensure adequate diesel is provided for the full duration of the event.
3. General Facility Rules
To maintain safety, cleanliness, and order within the Digital Park:
- Participants must remain within the designated area booked at all times; no loitering.
- Rearrangement or movement of furniture is not allowed unless expressly permitted.
- Display or sale of goods and services within the building is prohibited.
- Passageways must remain clear and unobstructed at all times.
- Emergency exit is not for general use.
- Pasting or hanging of banners or flyers in or outside the building is prohibited.
- All materials brought in for use during the event must be removed immediately at the close of the event.
- Any items remaining beyond two hours of the close of events will be discarded without notice at your cost.
4. Refreshment
- Only pre-prepared and properly packaged food is allowed inside the building. Any other form of food preparation or display except tea/coffee is strictly prohibited.
- Serving of refreshment is limited to the facility area booked and the dining area only.
- Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.
5. Final Confirmation
- Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment and verification of diesel arrangements.
- Failure to meet these requirements may result in cancellation or denial of access.
6. Damage Deposit
- A refundable cash deposit of ₦100,000 is required prior to the event.
- The deposit covers any damage and violation penalty incurred during the event.
- Refunds will be processed only if no damages/violations are recorded after inspection.
- Refund eligibility is determined solely by facility management.
7. Penalty for Violation of Rules
To enforce compliance and protect the facility:
Immediate Termination of Event
Serious breaches (unauthorized furniture movement, obstruction of passageways) may result in the event being shut down without refund.
Forfeiture of Damage Deposit
- Any damage is caused to the facility or equipment.
- Rules regarding cleanliness, leftover items, or unauthorized activities are violated.
- Facility access is misused or extended beyond the permitted time.
Additional Charges
- If damages exceed the deposit amount, the organizer will be billed for the full cost of repairs or replacements.
- Late removal of items or extended use of the facility will incur hourly charges.
Suspension of Future Access
Repeat violations may result in suspension or permanent denial of future bookings.
